2011–2012 Winter Season

WE ARE NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2011.2012 WINTER SEASON

WHY CHOOSE CYPRESS FOR YOUR SCHOOL?

Cypress offers a wide variety of terrain to accommodate the skill levels of all of your students from those who are brand new to snow sports to those who are advanced. Our specially designed programs focus on skill development and safety while introducing students to the fun and excitement of winter sports.

Safety is important to us. You will receive a Mountain Safety and Information Package send to your school ahead of time to prepare your group for your trip to Cypress. Upon arrival at the mountain, our Greeters will start off your visit with a safety review before helping you take your group through rentals and out to your lessons. Helmets are mandatory and free for all students in our School Groups program.

COMPLIMENTARY CHAPERONES – For every 8 students, we will give you one free chaperone lift ticket and one free chaperone rental.

CHAPERONE LESSONS
- Learn to ski or ride in an adult setting while your students are taking lessons and feel confident supervising them on the snow.

SCHOOL GROUP VIP PROGRAM
– Earn a School Group VIP Pass when you bring 40 students for a 4 day program, or 120 students for a one day program. This Pass allows one staff member from your school a ticket for themselves plus a guest throughout the season!

OUR SKIING & SNOWBOARDING PROGRAM

Our downhill skiing and snowboarding lessons are taught by certified, experienced instructors who are enthusiastic about teaching children and youths.  Lessons are offered in a range of levels from beginner through to expert. Whether it is a student’s first time on snow, or a need to fine tune advanced skills, our lessons will meet their goals.
Our School Groups programs are available to schools with school aged students following the BC Curriculum.

1.5 HOUR LESSONS
Take a lesson and enjoy the rest of your day exploring the mountain on your own schedule. Choose from either a one-day or four-day program.

HALF DAY & FULL DAY PROGRAMS
Enjoy the benefit of extended supervision. Our half day & full day programs include a 1.5 hour lesson, a 1 hour supervised lunch break, and a 1.5 hour (or 3 hour for full day) supervised exploration session. Students will remain with the same instructor throughout the day.

TERRAIN PARK UPGRADE
For those advanced students looking for a challenge in their lesson, we offer a Terrain Park upgrade option. Park lessons are taught by specialized Park Certified ski and snowboard instructors who will introduce your students to park techniques and etiquette. This option is available for students who are already advanced skiers and riders.

RACE TRAINING

Looking for a training program for your school’s team? At Cypress we provide the set up and the coaching to see your team succeed. Both ski and snowboard gate training courses are available.  Minimum 20 students.

SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS
Please let us know if you have any special needs students in your group.
