Terrain Park Update - Nov 26, 2009

Ouch! We Goofed!  We knew it was going to be a tough year!

We had earlier announced "Terrain Park Closed" as one of the impacts of hosting the Olympic Games at Cypress Mountain.  We have received an overwhelming response from Cypress Mountain Riders and Skiers who have communicated their concern about our plans.

We have had several meetings with our staff and we have decided to get the lower rail park into gear as soon as we can.  We will decide from there if we can get anything else open given the major impacts of the games on Cypress Terrain.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and good or bad, it is extremely important to us.  Keep posted to cypressmountain.com or better yet get up to Cypress Mountain and get in some early turns and rides!

Terrain Park Update - Nov 6, 2009

Unfortunately the impacts of hosting the Olympic Games at Cypress Mountain will be creating
huge inconveniences for everyone who visits Cypress Mountain this winter.  We look forward to providing the best terrain and skiing, riding, cross country skiing and sliding experience possible under these extraordinary circumstances.  Many services that riders and skiers normally enjoy will not be available to guests due to a variety of constraints imposed on the
Downhill and Nordic Areas.  We hope that everyone will join us in the spirit of hosting this once in a lifetime event and we look forward to a great year on the world stage, and a great Olympic Games leading into a spectacular 2010-2011 season where we can enjoy all the things that Cypress will have to offer.

Terrain Park Report - Nov 4, 2009

Please Note: Due to our highly impacted winter 2009-2010 season, Cypress Mountain will not operate a Terrain Park this winter.

With our Eagle Express terrain closed all season for Olympic course preparation, competition and wrap-up and a 36 day closure we anticipate an increased demand for intermediate skiing and riding which we will utilize the Midway Chair terrain for as well as our new Ski Run “Webb-Site” that is located off the Midway Chair.

The Terrain Park at Cypress Mountain will return in the 2010-2011 winter season.
