MOUNTAIN UPDATE - FEB 24, 2010

Owning the Podium at Cypress Mountain!

The inspirational showcase of our Canadian Athletes continued with Ashleigh McIvor winning the Gold Medal in Ski Cross!  This brings the Canadian medal count at Cypress Mountain to 3 Gold and 2 Silver - the most productive of any host site for Canadian athletes so far in the Olympic Games.

What has made this so special is the particularly keen excitement of the events we are hosting - Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding are making their mark with the thrills they are generating in these Games.

Again, congratulations to Jeff Ihaksi, Steve Petrie and their course building crews, the Freestyle Crew and the expert Cypress Mountain crews who have made these events possible!

Cypress Mountain is proud to be the Home Venue of our Canadian Athletes and tireless Course Builders - Go! Canada Go!
