Nordic Area Information
Cypress Mountain is only 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver & right at the city's door step. Cypress is proud to continue to provide our skiers, riders and sliders with the most vertical drop, most terrain, most lifts and best snow conditions on the highest skiing and riding peak of Vancouver's Legendary North Shore Mountains.
In our scenic Nordic base you will find our Cross Country Ticket Office, Cross Country Rental Shops, Nordic Café, waxing & warming huts and public washrooms. Our rental shop does offer Classic and Skate ski sets and snowshoe rentals. Our Nordic Ski School offers a variety of lesson programs from single day clinics to multi-session programs for skiers of all ages and abilities. When you are on the 19 km of groomed & track set Cross Country trails don't forget to make a stop for some great food at the fully licensed café located inside the historic Hollyburn Lodge. Hollyburn Lodge was built back in 1926 and offers a truly unique experience in the Nordic Area.
If you want to try something a little different, Cypress has 10km of self guided scenic snowshoe trails that run through sub alpine meadows and snowy mountain forests. (If you can walk you can snowshoe) There are three different packages offered to vary your guided snowshoe experience. Whether it's a simple Meadow tour with a stop for a hot drink at Hollyburn Lodge or snowshoe trek and a fabulous fondue meal at the Hollyburn Lodge, you will be sure to enjoy it. Don't forget that if you have a group of 20 or more we do offer special corporate and group rates. If you've never experienced snow or just can't get enough, our Tubing Park is for you. Our Tube Park is located close to our Nordic Base area, which makes it an easy and fun visit for the whole family. Just a note that kids must be above 4 feet to ride in our tubing area; however there is also a sliding area for the little ones, which does run through out the season weather permitting. The Cypress Nordic Area has a true winter adventure to offer everyone!
