SKOOTERS KIDS CAMP IS CLOSED FOR THE 2011/12 SEASON

Thank you for joining us for lessons this winter. We had fun skiing with your little ones!

Skooters Kids Camp (Skiers ages 3 - 6)

These 50 minute lessons for little skiers are by the hour, so you only pay as they play. Our patient instructors will ensure your youngsters have plenty of fun while learning to ski with the exclusive use of the Magic Carpet.

  • Check in time is one hour prior to the start of lesson
  • All Snow School students 18 yrs and under are required to wear a helmet
  • Lift tickets/passes are required for entrance to the ski are
  • Available on a first come/first served basis

SKOOTERS KIDS CAMP LESSON LEVELS

These levels are approximate and may be adjusted by your instructor at the beginning for the lesson.

YELLOW (Terrain Garden)

Will Learn:

  • Walking & Sliding on Flat Terrain
  • Snowplow Stance
  • Herringbone & Side-Step Climbing

GREEN (Terrain Garden)

Already Knows:

  • Snowplow stance while gliding

Will Learn:

  • Snowplow Stop
  • Snowplow Turns 
  • Magic Carpet
RED (Easy Rider Chair)

Already Knows:

  • Snowplow turns
  • Snowplow Stop

Will Learn:

  • Use of beginner chairlift
  • Snowplow turns with traverse
  • Flexion and extension
  • Beginner chair simulations
BLUE (Easy Rider, Lions, and Eagle chair)

Already Knows:

  • Linked Turns, stops confidently

Will Learn:

  • Increase terrain difficulty
  • Stem turns & parallel turns
  • Side slipping & parallel stops
