Snowshoeing has exploded in popularity in recent years and once you experience it you'll appreciate why. Our Snowshoeing area is located in the Nordic Area of the mountain.

HOLLYBURN MEADOWS TOUR (2 hrs)

A great introduction to snowshoeing. Trek through snowy mountain forests and meadows with a stop at Hollyburn Lodge for a hot drink. Experience the beauty of nature amidst the magic of winter.

Tour Duration - 2 hours

Saturday & Sunday                    10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm

Monday-Sunday                         7:00pm

Includes rentals, trail ticket and guide (night tours also include headlamps)

CHOCOLATE FONDUE TOUR (3 hrs)

Experience a 1.5 hr snowshoe through the woods and glades of Hollyburn plateau on your way to our rustic upper warming hut. First we'll warm you up from the inside with a mug of steaming hot chocolate or spiced apple cider. Then enjoy a dessert of chocolate fondue with a variety of fruits and angel food cake; surrounded by romantic candle-light and soaking up the heat of a traditional wood-burning stove.

Tour duration: 3 Hours

 Saturday nights  - 6:30pm - 9:30pm

SNOWSHOE FONDUE TOUR (4 hrs)

This special tour combines spectacular terrain and great food in one adventure. Each tour includes a delicious fondue meal in the rustic ambiance of  Hollyburn Lodge. You'll enjoy an easy snowshoe trek with your experienced, informative and entertaining guide through towering snowy mountain forests and sub-alpine meadows. A truly unique winter experience that is especially popular with groups.

Tour Duration: 4 Hours including Fondue*

Monday - Friday (Pre-booking required) - Tours depart at 6:00pm sharp.

Sunday (Pre-booking required) - Tour departs at 5:30pm sharp.

Fondue Menu

Tossed Salad with Vinaigrette. Cheese fondue with bread, steamed veggies and roast garlic potatoes. Chocolate fondue with fresh fruit and Angel Food cake. Hot apple cider, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. (Alcohol is available at an additional cost)

***Important Conditions

Participants should be prepared for variable weather conditions. We recommend participants wear good winter boots, layered outerwear, water repellent jackets and pants, toque and gloves. Please note that participants should arrive at the Cross Country Ticket office a half hour before tour begins. It is advised that participants call the snow phone @ 604.419.SNOW (7669), for the latest weather and road conditions, before leaving for their tour. All Snowshoe tours include hi-tech snowshoes and headlamp for night tours. To ensure your place in a snowshoe tour, please pre-book as far in advance as possible. All cancellations for the Hollyburn Meadows and Chocolate Fondue tour require minimum 24 hrs notice otherwise a $15 fee will be applied automatically. Cancellations for the Fondue Tour require at least 72 hours (3 days) notice or a $25 fee will be applied. Once purchased, snowshoe programs are non-refundable and non-transferable.

*Group Tours require a 50% non-refundable deposit initialy to book; 7 days prior the remainder payment in full. Both are taken on a single credit card.
